City beaches

Surfers Paradise

In the middle of it all. Beautiful beach on one side, gleaming towers on the other. Shopping, cafes, restaurants, nightlife, attractions all a few steps away. You can find whatever you want. Anytime of the day or night. Unless, of course, what youā€™re looking for is some peace and quietā€¦ šŸ˜‰

Family beaches

Tallebudgera Creek

The sparking and tranquil waters of Tallebudgera Creek are perfect for kids and families. The protected waters make it great for many activities; kayaking, swimming, waters sportsā€¦

With Burleigh Head National Park on one side of the creek, be sure to take a stroll along the ocean view track around to Burleigh Beach.

This place is so delightful you may not want to leave. And although our worldly responsibilities may drag us away, thereā€™s plenty of cabins and camping and caravan sites nearby, so you can at least stay a few daysā€¦šŸ˜‰

The Non-Beach

The Water Park

Ok, ok, so this category isnā€™t a beach at all, but if youā€™re chasing summer time fun, its hard to go past a water park. Slides, rides, wavepools, cinemasā€¦ High adrenaline or a lazy splash about. Theres a water park for all ages and tastes. Options for theme park fun include Wet ā€˜nā€™ Wild, WhiteWater World or the Gold Coast Aqua Park in Southport.

Surf beaches

Rainbow Bay

A great place to learn to surf, although thereā€™s plenty to satisfy more the experienced as well. Thereā€™s also a few kilometres of footpaths, beaches and boardwalks to stroll along. Nearby point danger has spectacular views of the whole coast. Finish off the day with a burger and beer and the nearby pub or surf lifesaving club.

The Relaxed Beach

Broadbeach Beach

Ok, whilst still not completely tranquil, it is a step down from the crowds at Surfers Paradise. The beach itself is similar, but the surrounds are more leafy and low-key. Nearby youā€™ve got Kurrawa park, the local surf club and Broadbeach Mall. Once youā€™ve had a rest and reprieve, still within walking distance is the enormous Pacific Fair Shopping Centre and The Star Casino.
